About Ernie

Ernie Coulson doesn’t have clients. As he sees it, he has « friends » with whom he does business and many of these friends have been doing business with him for more than 10 years. It’s not unusual for them to call him at home with a concern or discuss their next steps over a round of golf. Underlying these long-standing relationships is an appreciation for Ernie’s honesty and a trust in his ability to always provide advice that is in their best interests.

Early in his more than 30-year career as a financial services professional, Ernie recognized his knack for connecting with people and building a rapport. His background in engineering and business provided him with the discipline to think through problems. And his experience as a stockbroker taught him much about the world of investing. The lure of having no restrictions on the solutions he could offer to clients brought him to T.E. Wealth in 1988. Under T.E. Wealth’s fee-based model, Ernie was free from the pressure to make a sale and could objectively solve clients’ problems.

In 1995, Ernie opened T.E. Wealth’s office in Oakville, which he manages, to serve the growing number of T.E. Wealth clients from the west-end of the GTA. It just makes it a more convenient location for his « friends » when they come to visit.
