About Jack
Jack Jamieson said good-bye to the boardroom several years ago. Today, he is working with First Nation communities across the country, helping them bring accountability, good governance and sound investment policies to the management of trusts and general financial resources. How did a financial services industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in investment management come to this role?
Based on his previous experience working for a national accounting firm, Jack saw the need within aboriginal communities for T.E. Wealth’s services. Today, Jack heads up T.E. Wealth’s Aboriginal Services group, working directly with aboriginal community leaders and trustees to develop and implement efficient and cost-effective investment programs, good governance practices and communication and education programs for their communities. Jack volunteers his time by sitting on the Corporate Relations committee for the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association (AFOA) and, through T.E. Wealth, he is a partner member of the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association (NATOA). In addition, Jack is a regular speaker at aboriginal conferences and contributor to aboriginal-based publications.
A business graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University, one time banker and investment counselor, Jack’s career took an unexpected turn more than ten years ago and he is glad that it did. Helping aboriginal communities realize their vision through effective financial practices has proven to be immensely rewarding.
